Ford GT 40 Gulf with astronaut flying through space
Painting of the exotic sports car Ford GT40 Gulf. Painting is by me Don Lee. This work features the automobile flying or rocketing into space. You can see the energy and power erupting from the car . These energy lines can be traced back around the planet and moon as if the car blasted off from there. There is a road the car is making or flying on in space and it may be moving through time. A reflection of the universe can be seen reflecting in the helmet of the astronaut who pilots the ship. This is a bit like Elon Musk's Tesla roadster but instead is a GT 40 and the astronaut is real.

(The mythology) So in this rather surreal work I have painted the moons. In this world the moons where hung up to the sky with chains and ropes. One day the Sun want MAD and started leaser blasting the poor moons from the sky. Some moons got obliterated on the spot but others fell down to the earth. As they crashed into the earth they would break and crack and blood would spill from them. Old moon bones and ribs soon littered the earth as the blood of the moons helped shape our lands and created the mountains . The moons still in the sky had terrified faces as the evil sun torments with a gleeful deranged smile. Now there is only one moon left in the sky and that sun looks more deranged ever day.

The sea monster catfish snake things fishing eye is like something the hands can not have. They seek this eye. This eye is enlightenment or perhaps the illusion of enlightenment or nirvana and the hands/humans seek it but it is unattainable. The sea serpent is simply catching the hands for its own amusement or for some sort of other use but the hands will not be free.
